Rasheeda Huston, Production coordinator
Rasheeda is a New York native with a keen eye for detail and a huge passion for curating unique experiences through event production. Rasheeda brings along with her over eight years’ experience in Marketing, Sales and event production. She holds a Bachelors’ degree in Corporate Communications with a minor in Marketing from Baruch College (New York, NY). She is highly efficient and zealous with a proven track record of providing positive experiences for the clients with her skills in event production, marketing, and consumer analytics.
In her career years, she has worked with prominent individuals in both the fashion and entertainment industry. Rasheeda has worked on vendor activations; Fashion shows during NY fashion week, Corporate and private parties, Conferences and festivals such as Curl fest in Brooklyn, NY and Essence Festival in New Orleans. Rasheeda has been a member of the CMG team for three years, where she continues to hone and enhance her skills, to continuously deliver exceptional events. Rasheeda enjoys working and nurturing relationships with people from various backgrounds and cultures alongside excellent communication skills and establishing a good rapport with her clients.
Nina Flowers, Public Relations Manager and Media Strategist
Nina Flowers currently serves as Public Relations Manger and Media Strategist for CMG. Nina is a seasoned public relations and brand strategist with over 20 years’ experience in the arts and entertainment. Nina leads organizations and individuals in growing their brands, providing strategic communications and public relations counsel as well as creating and executing successful PR campaigns. She knows what it takes to truly drives conversions, build brand awareness and cultivate media relationships.
Nina has spearheaded public relations and communications for one of the world’s most iconic institutions - the Apollo Theater - for 13 years. Under her leadership, the Apollo’s institutional public profile grew exponentially, consistently landing placements in top tier national outlets and helping to reinforce the Theater’s role as a force in the performing arts and entertainment. In addition to her extensive PR experience, Nina also has expertise in social media and was the driving force in building the Theater’s social media identity and footprint.
The native New Yorker has landed coverage in print, radio, broadcast and online outlets around the world including the Today Show, The New York Times, BBC, NPR, CBS Sunday Morning, Billboard, Associated Press and CNN. She herself has been featured on Essence Online and MTV and in the Amsterdam News and Rolling Out magazine.
Prior to her work at the Apollo, Nina built a solid history working with major brands entertainment brands including VIBE Magazine and Universal Music Group. Nina holds an M.B.A in Marketing Management from Long Island University.
Latoyia dennis, Sponsorship and activation manager
LaToyia Dennis, is a dynamic, savvy, MBA-educated successful leader in advancing the non-profit sector. She is an innovative goal-driven performer with more than 15 years of experience in sponsorship and fund development, event management, strategic planning, and non-profit management. LaToyia has an extensive career in the nonprofit sector. She has curated, produced, and manage activation for event as large and MegaFest and as small as nonprofit board trainings. LaToyia received her bachelor’s degree from Dallas Baptist University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Dallas with a certification in Nonprofit Management. LaToyia brings to the job a passion for convening diverse groups of people from the public and private sectors to expand the capacity of charitable nonprofits to deliver better services and value. LaToyia has worked to advocate, advance and promote early education opportunities and programs for low-income communities and provide self-sufficiency programs for moms, particularly in low-income communities. LaToyia is married to Andre Dennis and is the mother of an incredible son, Chance.
Precious Witherspoon, Production coordinator
Precious is a multifaceted, energetic and vibrant personality with extensive experience in all aspects of events. With over 15 years of experience in the private, corporate and non-profit sector, Precious brings a wealth of experience with working with clients, talent and vendors.
Precious focuses her energy toward relationship management, business administration, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Recognized as a key contributor in successfully and efficiently managing multiple responsibilities, she consistently meets established goals and exceeds in her performance objectives. She is a motivated leader and team player with a track record of consistently transcending expectations, delivering exceptional quality assurance, boosting efficiency and contributing to revenue and sales growth within CMG.
Mari Johnson, Account Manager
Mari is a meeting and event planner with 20+ years in both corporate and philanthropic events and conferences. She has planned meetings, events and client experiences for groups as small as 10 and as large as 300+. She also has the experience and expertise needed to work with a client on programs that achieve the objective while exceeding expectations.
Mari works to connect with clients to develop program logistics which include venue selection, transportation, décor, and entertainment as well as activities both on and off-site. Mari can help develop a theme and vision leading to a memorable event and client experience with efficiency and ease.
Mari holds a BA from DePaul University and is expected to complete her MA in Operations in May 2019. Program logistics and program management are her specialty and aid in the execution of special experiences and events.
